Jesus is the Light Ministries Butambala Uganda is a registered community based Organisation located in Butambala district. Butambala District is one of the Local Governments, under the Uganda Government decentralization policy, located in the central of Uganda.
Jesus is the Light Ministries Butambala Uganda's mission is to serve, educate, and rescue individuals while provoking them toward a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ through socially relevant outlets of ministry service; which in turn deeply impact individuals, communities and nations. We are compelled to use every opportunity, gift and talent entrusted to us to fulfill this mission!
Every day, 3 infants are abandoned on the streets of Butambala. The Jesus is the Light Ministries Butambala Uganda Baby Rescue Center exists to prevent baby abandonment, rescue abandoned babies and provides life-long family care. Jesus is the Light Ministries Butambala Uganda is committed to being an advocate that will intervene on behalf of these desperate young mothers and their precious babies in order to ensure the best future for their children, while rescuing and preventing babies from being abandoned.
We help prevent baby abandonment by counseling desperate young mothers who have an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy. We educate them about the life-saving alternatives to discarding unwanted children.
We provide prenatal, postnatal, and parenting counseling and training classes that help equip and enable young parents to properly care for their newborn baby. As relationship with these parents are built, lives are transformed.
All our staff are registered as legal foster parents, which allows us to exist as a registered place of safety. When babies are placed in our baby dropbox, Impact Africa cares for them until they are legally cleared for an adoption process.
The Baby Safe is open 24/7 for desperate mothers to anonymously leave their babies safely inside. Once rescued, the child is transferred to our partnering baby homes where they are cared for until they are adopted into a loving family.
I am by the names of Mabiriizi John. Being that I struggled in my childhood when growing, I'm grateful for everyone who supported me. I am what I am, because of those who helped me. This thinking motivated me to get a better way of lifting the other unpriviledged in our community. We are live examples of the impact of what we are doing, so we believe anyone can be anything better in life through preaching the word of God in teh community. I grew up as an orphan and working as a tailor ,I decided to support my family ,friends and all the unprivileged I could give a hand in our community since I grew in very harsh condition , for that reason I decided to combine with my brothers and sisters in Christ with a common goal hence forming Jesus is the Light Ministries to help and support the unprivileged in our community .
Hello my brothers and sisters! My name is Nalweyiso Anitah and I am the Prayer Leader/treasurer of Jesus is the Light Ministries Butambala Uganda. I am such a joyful and energetic person and I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He has brought me out of many dark corners of my life, and even when I would try to push Him away, He was always there. You see my brothers and sisters, God’s love for us isn't like any other we have ever experienced in our lives. Romans 5:8 says, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” He sent Jesus down to die for us even when we hated him.
My name is Nalunkuuma Mariam living in the Central region of Uganda Mityana District. I work with Jesus is the Light Ministries Butambala Uganda, a Community Based Religious Organisation in my local area. Having been raised under conditions of extreme poverty like lack of food,clothes and proper shelter although we could labour hard to make ends meet I decided to volunteer and reach out for the needy.
Praise be to the most high God. I want to thank each and everyone who tries his/her best to ensure that the works of Jesus is the Light Ministries Butambala Uganda are a success. Before being transferred away from Mityana district, I fell in deep love with the constructive ideas of these great young men and women. I thank them for choosing me as their organization's Advisor. What’s up guys! My name is Muwonge and I am the Evangelism leader and advisor of Jesus is the Light Ministries. I love to inspire others to be the best version of themselves because being watered down isn’t making you real. For years, I knew God, but being bullied for who I was and wanting validation from the world caused me to be depressed and not love myself. Realizing now, if it wasn’t for these situations, I would not have found myself and a relationship with God.
